A son of Gad and grandson of Jacob, listed among the heads of the clans of Israel.
Areli was one of the seven sons of Gad, the son of Jacob and Zilpah. He is recorded in the genealogical lists of the Israelites who migrated to Egypt and later in the census taken by Moses and Eleazar in the plains of Moab.
