New Testament
Jambres
An Egyptian magician who opposed Moses, cited by Paul as an example of those who resist the truth.
Jambres is mentioned by name only in 2 Timothy 3:8, where the Apostle Paul identifies him and Jannes as the magicians who opposed Moses. While their names do not appear in the Exodus account, they represent the historical opposition of false teachers against the truth of God. Paul uses their example to warn believers about those who corrupt the faith through deceitful resistance.
