Lazarus
A friend of Jesus from Bethany whom He raised from the dead, serving as a sign of Christ's authority over life.
Lazarus of Bethany was the brother of Mary and Martha and a close friend of Jesus. His resurrection from the dead is a pivotal miracle in the Gospel of John, demonstrating Jesus' power over death and serving as a catalyst for the religious leaders' plot against Him. Note that this figure is distinct from the beggar named Lazarus mentioned in Jesus' parable in Luke 16.
