Meres
One of the seven princes of Persia and Media who had direct access to King Ahasuerus.
Meres is identified in Esther 1:14 as one of the seven high-ranking princes of Persia and Media. These men served as the king's closest advisors, possessing the authority to see his face and sit first in the kingdom. His inclusion highlights the formal administrative structure of the Persian court during the events leading to Queen Vashti's deposition.
