Pekah
The son of Remaliah who assassinated Pekahiah to become the eighteenth king of Israel.
Pekah was a military officer who usurped the throne of Israel by murdering King Pekahiah. His reign was marked by an alliance with Rezin of Aram against Judah, which triggered the Syro-Ephraimite War. His actions prompted Isaiah's prophecy regarding the sign of Immanuel and ultimately led to the Assyrian conquest of Israel's northern territories.
