Old Testament
Shuni
Shuni was a son of Gad and the ancestral head of the Shunite clan within the tribe of Gad.
Shuni is identified in Genesis 46:16 as one of the seven sons of Gad who accompanied Jacob to Egypt. He is later listed in Numbers 26:15 as the patriarch of the Shunite clan, which formed a significant part of the tribe of Gad during the census in the wilderness. His inclusion in these genealogies serves to document the preservation and growth of the Israelite tribes.
