Old Testament
Amzi
A priest and descendant of Immer who served in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile.
Amzi is identified in Nehemiah 11:12 as a priest and a son of Zechariah, belonging to the priestly line of Immer. He is listed among the valiant men who resided in Jerusalem to perform the work of the temple following the return from captivity. His inclusion serves to document the genealogical and administrative restoration of the priesthood in post-exilic Israel.
