Old Testament
Ananiah
A post-exilic Israelite who assisted in rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem and later resided in Anathoth.
Ananiah is mentioned in the book of Nehemiah as a participant in the restoration of Jerusalem's fortifications. He is specifically noted for repairing a section of the wall near his own house and is later listed among the inhabitants of Anathoth during the post-exilic resettlement. His inclusion in these records highlights the collective effort of the returned exiles to secure and repopulate the city.
