Old Testament
Azzan
Azzan was the father of Paltiel, the leader of the tribe of Issachar appointed to help divide the land of Canaan.
Azzan is mentioned only once in the Bible in Numbers 34:26. He is identified solely as the father of Paltiel, who was selected by God to represent the tribe of Issachar in the division of the Promised Land among the Israelites. His inclusion in the text serves to establish the genealogy and authority of the leaders tasked with the distribution of the tribal inheritances.
