Old Testament
Eldad
One of the seventy elders who received the Spirit and prophesied in the camp of Israel.
Eldad was one of the seventy elders chosen to assist Moses in leading the Israelites. Though he remained in the camp rather than going to the Tabernacle, the Spirit rested upon him, and he prophesied. His experience demonstrates that God's authority and gifting are not restricted by location or human expectation.
