Old Testament
Hakkatan
A leader among the exiles who returned to Jerusalem with Ezra from Babylon.
Hakkatan was the father of Johanan, who led a group of 110 men during the second return of the exiles from Babylon to Jerusalem under Ezra's leadership. His mention in Ezra 8:12 serves to document the genealogical records and the specific families that participated in this restoration movement. He is recognized solely for his role in this historical account of the return to the Promised Land.
