Old Testament · Major figure
Hanani
A prophet who rebuked King Asa and a leader who helped oversee Jerusalem's wall dedication.
The name Hanani refers to at least two distinct individuals in the Old Testament. One was a seer who confronted King Asa of Judah for relying on the King of Syria rather than God. Another Hanani was a brother of Nehemiah who reported on the distressed state of Jerusalem and later served as a leader during the dedication of the city's wall.
