Old Testament
Josiphiah
A descendant of Shelomith who returned from the Babylonian exile with Ezra.
Josiphiah is mentioned in Ezra 8:10 as the father of Shelomith, who was among the heads of families returning to Jerusalem with Ezra. His inclusion in the genealogical record serves to document the lineage of those who participated in the second wave of the return from exile. He represents the faithful remnant who sought to restore the covenant community in Judah.
