Old Testament
Jozadak
A descendant of the priestly line mentioned in Ezra as having taken a foreign wife.
Jozadak is identified in Ezra 10:18 as one of the priests who had married foreign women during the post-exilic period. His inclusion in this list highlights the widespread nature of the intermarriage issue that Ezra addressed to maintain the holiness of the returned remnant. He is distinct from the high priest Jozadak mentioned in the books of Haggai and Zechariah.
