Old Testament
Paltiel
A leader of the tribe of Issachar appointed to help divide the land of Canaan among the tribes.
Paltiel was the son of Azzan and served as the representative for the tribe of Issachar during the division of the Promised Land. He was specifically appointed by God to assist Eleazar the priest and Joshua in the inheritance process. His inclusion in Numbers 34 highlights the administrative order established for the Israelites as they prepared to enter Canaan.
