Old Testament
Sharezer
A son of Sennacherib who participated in the assassination of his father, the king of Assyria.
Sharezer is identified in 2 Kings 19:37 and Isaiah 37:38 as a son of Sennacherib who, along with his brother Adrammelech, killed his father while he was worshiping in the temple of Nisroch. He then fled to the land of Ararat. A person named Sharezer is also mentioned in Zechariah 7:2 as part of a delegation sent to inquire about fasting, though it is unclear if this is the same individual or a different person of the same name.
