Old Testament
Abishua
A descendant of Aaron who served as a high priest in the priestly line of Eleazar.
Abishua was the son of Phinehas and a high priest in the line of Aaron. His significance lies in his role as a link in the genealogical record of the priesthood, connecting the early post-exodus leaders to the priests serving during the time of Ezra. He is listed in the priestly genealogies of 1 Chronicles and Ezra to establish the legitimacy of the Aaronic priesthood.
