Old Testament
Adriel
A Meholathite who married Saul's daughter Merab and fathered five sons given to the Gibeonites.
Adriel was the son of Barzillai the Meholathite and the husband of King Saul's daughter, Merab. Although Saul originally promised Merab to David, he gave her to Adriel instead. Later, David delivered five sons born to Adriel and Merab to the Gibeonites to be executed, fulfilling a requirement to atone for Saul's bloodguilt against them.
