Abinadab
A Levite of Kiriath-jearim who housed the Ark of the Covenant for twenty years.
Abinadab was a resident of Kiriath-jearim whose house served as the sanctuary for the Ark of the Covenant after its return from Philistia. His son Eleazar was consecrated to guard the sacred object until David eventually moved it to Jerusalem. The name also refers to a son of Jesse and a son of King Saul, highlighting the commonality of the name in Israelite history.
