Abigail
A wise and discerning woman who prevented David from committing bloodshed against her foolish husband, Nabal.
Abigail was the wife of Nabal, a wealthy but churlish man of Maon. Her intervention with David demonstrated great wisdom and faith in God's sovereignty, leading David to spare her household. After Nabal's death, she became one of David's wives and bore him a son named Daniel or Chileab.
