Old Testament
Ahiman
A descendant of Anak encountered by the Israelite spies in Hebron.
Ahiman was one of the Anakim, a group of giants living in Hebron when the twelve spies surveyed the land of Canaan. His presence served as a primary reason for the Israelites' initial fear and refusal to enter the Promised Land. The name also appears in 1 Chronicles 9:17 as a Levite gatekeeper, indicating two distinct individuals share this name in the biblical record.
