Hepher
A descendant of Manasseh whose daughters were granted an inheritance in the Promised Land.
Hepher was a son of Gilead and a grandson of Manasseh, listed among the heads of the clans of Manasseh. He is most significant as the father of Zelophehad, whose five daughters successfully petitioned Moses for their father's inheritance, establishing a legal precedent in Israelite law. The name also appears in 1 Chronicles as a Mecherathite warrior among David's mighty men, likely representing a different individual.
