Nun
An Ephraimite and the father of Joshua, the successor of Moses who led Israel into the Promised Land.
Nun is identified primarily as the father of Joshua, the prominent leader of Israel. While the text provides little biographical detail about Nun himself, his lineage is consistently recorded to establish Joshua's tribal identity within the tribe of Ephraim. His significance in Scripture is defined by his role as the patriarch of the man chosen to lead the Israelites in the conquest of Canaan.
