Sihon
The Amorite king who refused Israel passage, leading to his defeat and the occupation of his land.
Sihon was the king of the Amorites who ruled from Heshbon. When Moses requested peaceful passage through his territory, Sihon refused and gathered his army to attack Israel, resulting in his total defeat and the capture of his kingdom. His fall served as a foundational victory for Israel, frequently cited in Scripture as a demonstration of God's power in delivering the Promised Land to His people.
