Athaliah
The daughter of Ahab who seized the throne of Judah after murdering her royal descendants.
Athaliah was a queen of Judah who usurped the throne following the death of her son, Ahaziah. She attempted to destroy the royal line of David, but the young prince Joash was hidden from her and later restored to the throne. Her reign represents a period of severe apostasy and Baal worship in Judah, ending in her execution.
