Old Testament
Bariah
A descendant of the royal house of David listed in the genealogy of the post-exilic period.
Bariah is identified in 1 Chronicles 3:22 as a son of Shemaiah and a descendant of Zerubbabel. He appears solely within the genealogical record of the Davidic line following the Babylonian exile. His inclusion serves to document the preservation of the royal lineage of Judah.
