Amnon
The firstborn son of King David whose violent actions against his half-sister Tamar triggered a cycle of family tragedy.
Amnon was the eldest son of David and Ahinoam. His rape of his half-sister Tamar led to his assassination by her brother Absalom, serving as a pivotal fulfillment of the judgment pronounced upon David's house. The name also appears in 1 Chronicles 4:20 as a descendant of Judah, though this individual is distinct from David's son.
