Old Testament
Bazluth
A family of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel.
Bazluth, also spelled Bazlith, represents a clan of Nethinim, or temple servants, listed among those who returned to Jerusalem from captivity in Babylon. Their inclusion in the genealogical records of Ezra 2 and Nehemiah 7 serves to document the restoration of the temple ministry and the preservation of the covenant community. This record highlights the faithfulness of God in gathering His people back to the land.
