Old Testament
Chimham
A loyal follower of David who was rewarded for his kindness during Absalom's rebellion.
Chimham was the son of Barzillai the Gileadite who accompanied King David back to Jerusalem after the defeat of Absalom. David showed him favor by granting him land near Bethlehem, which later became known as the habitation of Chimham. His legacy persisted centuries later, as the site served as a landmark for those fleeing to Egypt following the assassination of Gedaliah.
