Old Testament
Gazzam
A head of a family of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel.
Gazzam was the patriarch of a family of Nethinim, or temple servants, listed among the exiles who returned to Jerusalem from Babylon. His name appears in the genealogical records of Ezra 2 and Nehemiah 7, which document the families that rebuilt the community under the leadership of Zerubbabel and Jeshua. These lists serve as a historical record of the faithful remnant restored to the land.
