Old Testament
Harsha
A head of a family of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel.
Harsha was the patriarch of a family of Nethinim, or temple servants, listed among those who returned to Jerusalem from captivity in Babylon. His name appears in the genealogical records of Ezra and Nehemiah, which document the remnant that rebuilt the community under Persian rule. These records serve to validate the identity and heritage of the returning exiles.
