Old Testament
Ithiel
A name appearing in the genealogies of Nehemiah and as a recipient of Agur's wisdom in Proverbs.
Ithiel is mentioned as a descendant of Benjamin in the post-exilic records of Nehemiah 11:7. He is also identified in Proverbs 30:1 as one of the individuals to whom Agur son of Jakeh addressed his prophetic sayings. Because the name appears in two distinct contexts, it likely refers to two different individuals in the biblical record.
