Old Testament

Jaalah

A family of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel.

The descendants of Jaalah are listed among the Nethinim, or temple servants, who returned to Jerusalem from captivity in Babylon. Their inclusion in the genealogical records of Ezra and Nehemiah serves to document the restoration of the temple ministry and the faithful remnant who returned to rebuild the house of God.
