Old Testament
Jorah
A man whose descendants returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel.
Jorah is listed in the genealogical records of those who returned to Jerusalem and Judah from Babylonian captivity. His name appears in the census lists found in both Ezra and Nehemiah, representing one of the families that resettled in the land. These records serve to document the restoration of the covenant people and the fulfillment of God's promise to return a remnant to Israel.
