Old Testament
Keros
A head of a family of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel.
Keros was the patriarch of a family of Nethinim, or temple servants, listed among the exiles who returned to Jerusalem from Babylon. His name appears in the genealogical records of Ezra 2:44 and Nehemiah 7:47, which document the families that resettled the land. These lists serve as a historical record of the faithful remnant preserved by God to restore temple service.
