Old Testament
Mattenai
A descendant of Hashum who repented of marrying a foreign wife and a priest during the time of Joiakim.
Mattenai is mentioned in Ezra 10:33 as one of the men who pledged to put away their foreign wives following the reforms of Ezra. He is also listed in Nehemiah 12:19 as a priest representing the house of Joiarib during the high priesthood of Joiakim. These references highlight his involvement in the post-exilic restoration of Israel's covenantal purity and priestly service.
