Naomi
An Israelite woman whose return to Bethlehem with her daughter-in-law Ruth leads to the lineage of King David.
Naomi was the wife of Elimelech and mother-in-law to Ruth. After losing her husband and sons in Moab, she returned to Bethlehem in bitterness, yet her faithfulness to Ruth provided the foundation for Boaz to act as a kinsman-redeemer. Her life illustrates God's providential care in restoring hope and lineage through the redemption of her family.
