Old Testament
Noadiah
A prophetess who opposed Nehemiah's work in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.
Noadiah is identified in Nehemiah 6:14 as a prophetess who, along with other prophets, attempted to intimidate Nehemiah during the reconstruction of Jerusalem's walls. The name also appears in Ezra 8:33 as a Levite, Binnui's son, who helped weigh the silver and gold brought to the temple. These two references likely refer to distinct individuals, one a male Levite and the other a female opponent of Nehemiah's leadership.
