Old Testament
Reaiah
A descendant of Reuben and a leader among the post-exilic temple servants.
The name Reaiah appears in two distinct contexts in the Old Testament. In 1 Chronicles 5:5, he is identified as a descendant of Reuben, the firstborn of Jacob. Later, in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, the name refers to a family of Nethinim, or temple servants, who returned from the Babylonian exile to Jerusalem.
