Old Testament

Shemaah

A Benjamite archer and kinsman of Saul who joined David at Ziklag to support his kingship.

Shemaah was a warrior from the tribe of Benjamin who defected to David while he was hiding from Saul. He is listed among the skilled ambidextrous archers and slingers in 1 Chronicles 12:3. His inclusion highlights the transition of tribal support toward David as the divinely appointed king of Israel.
