Old Testament
Talmon
A Levite gatekeeper who served in the temple after the return from the Babylonian exile.
Talmon was a descendant of Korah and a gatekeeper responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tabernacle and later the temple. His service is recorded in the genealogies of 1 Chronicles and the post-exilic records of Ezra and Nehemiah. He represents the faithful Levites who maintained order and security in the house of God during the restoration of Jerusalem.
