Old Testament
Temah
A family of Nethinim, or temple servants, who returned to Jerusalem from Babylonian exile.
The descendants of Temah were among the Nethinim, a group of temple servants who returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel. Their inclusion in the genealogical records of Ezra and Nehemiah highlights the restoration of temple service roles after the exile. They represent the diverse groups of Israelites who participated in the rebuilding of the community and the house of God.
