Ziph
A town in the hill country of Judah, notable for its wilderness and proximity to David's flight from Saul.
Ziph was a city in the territory of Judah, situated in the rugged hill country. It is most significant in Scripture as the location of the Wilderness of Ziph, where David hid from King Saul. Later, the city was fortified by King Rehoboam as part of his defensive strategy for the kingdom of Judah.
