Old Testament
Arza
The steward of the royal palace in Tirzah during the reign of King Elah of Israel.
Arza served as the administrator of the palace for King Elah. He is mentioned solely in the context of the king's assassination, as Elah was drinking himself into a stupor within Arza's house when Zimri conspired against and killed him. His role highlights the vulnerability of the northern kingdom's leadership during a period of political instability.
