Barak
An Israelite commander who led the army against Sisera under the direction of the prophetess Deborah.
Barak was a military leader chosen by God through the prophetess Deborah to deliver Israel from the oppression of Jabin, king of Canaan. Though he initially hesitated to go into battle without Deborah's presence, he ultimately led ten thousand men to victory at Mount Tabor. His faith is later commended in the New Testament, marking him as a significant figure in Israel's history of deliverance.
