Hannah
A godly woman who prayed fervently for a son and dedicated Samuel to the Lord's service.
Hannah was the wife of Elkanah who endured years of barrenness and the taunts of Peninnah. Her heartfelt vow to God resulted in the birth of Samuel, whom she faithfully presented to the tabernacle. Her prayer of thanksgiving in 1 Samuel 2 serves as a profound prophetic song praising God's sovereignty over the humble and the proud.
