Old Testament
Doeg
An Edomite servant of Saul who betrayed David and massacred the priests of Nob.
Doeg the Edomite served as Saul's chief herdsman and witnessed David receiving aid from Ahimelech the priest. He reported this to Saul and, when others refused, carried out the king's command to slaughter eighty-five priests and the inhabitants of Nob. His actions serve as a stark contrast to David's mercy and highlight the moral decay of Saul's court.
