Old Testament
Basemath
The daughter of Solomon and wife of Ahimaaz, a district governor in Naphtali.
Basemath was a daughter of King Solomon who married Ahimaaz, one of Solomon's twelve administrative officers. Her marriage highlights the strategic alliances Solomon formed with his regional governors to maintain control over the kingdom. Note that other women named Basemath appear in Genesis, but this individual is distinct as a daughter of Solomon.
