Beor
The father of Bela, an Edomite king, and the father of the prophet Balaam.
Beor is identified in Genesis 36 as the father of Bela, the first king of Edom. He is also frequently mentioned in the Pentateuch and the New Testament as the father of Balaam, the prophet hired to curse Israel. His significance lies primarily in his role as the patriarch of these two distinct figures in biblical history.
