Bethuel
The son of Nahor and Milcah, father of Rebekah and Laban, and nephew of Abraham.
Bethuel was a descendant of Terah who played a pivotal role in the patriarchal narrative by fathering Rebekah, the wife of Isaac. His significance lies in his lineage, which ensured the preservation of Abraham's kinship ties during the search for a bride for Isaac. While the name also appears in 1 Chronicles 4:30 as a city in the territory of Simeon, the primary biblical figure is the Aramean patriarch from Paddan-aram.
